Becoming Ageless by Strauss Zelnick

Very into:

Nintendo Switch 2. It comes with all the old Super Nintendo games and I let my kids play it with me. I think the old, original games are so fun and it’s been nice to play with them. The controller comes off the base so you can take traveling.

Coming up:

Lauryn is about to come off maternity leave and we’ll be traveling to NYC to record with a ton of guests. We like to call these work trips ‘sprints.’ We pack our schedule, record lots of episodes, have work dinners and go hard from 8am to 10pm for about 6 days straight. It’s exhausting but we come back and get into regular programming. We do about 2 sprints per quarter and it’s something that works for us. We get so much done because we’re both in that mindset.

Tip of the month:

We recently went to Colorado with some friends. It was nice and mellow but we brought the kids, so we still wanted to find things to do. I used AI to generate an itinerary based on our kids' ages, how many of us there were and what we all like to do. It came up with this great itinerary of places to visit, eat and drink and how to get there. It was easy and although the trip was meant to be relaxing and mellow, the itinerary gave us a bit of structure with activity options every day.

Wellness lately:

To me, reading is wellness. When I wake up I read, and when I go to bed I read. I will never not do this daily practice. Things like the sauna and cold plunge are not accessible to me every day because of my work schedule. I love them both but it’s not something I can do daily, but I can always find time to read for 10-20 minutes, at the very least.

The reason I see reading as a wellness practice is because it takes you outside of yourself, helps you relax and calm your nervous system, while learning. If you struggle with finding time to read try scheduling it in your calendar or getting a Kindle. I like to read on a real book with a red book light, but Lauryn has found that she started reading even more when she got a Kindle.

Things I bought and liked:

Djerf Avenue pajamas: You’ve heard me talk about them a lot lately and that’s because I absolutely love them. I brought baby blue ones to the hospital with me and I have them in lots of patterns and colors. I highly recommend these.

Bow flutes: I have these champagne flutes with pink bows and red bows. I love the pop of color and they’re fun for special occasions (or everyday). A red set and a green set would be chic and festive for the holidays.

The Row Marlo bag: I recently invested in this work bag and it’s useful and chic. I found a similar version here.

Coming up:

The Show: As Michael mentioned we have a super busy week in NYC. We’ll be recording with some incredible guests. I’ve loved maternity leave but I’m excited to get back into work mode.

TSC: Over the last couple weeks you’ve sold us out of Toilet Paper and the Ice Roller. Your support, content you’ve created and shared, as well as all your tips and tricks for these products has been so meaningful. I’m truly so grateful.

We’re making room for new innovations and we’re so excited for you to see what’s next.

Tip of the month:

I mentioned on the show how I’ve been using AI to help me with my morning routine. Zaza has started Kindergarten, Townes is in school, Bond is a baby and I’m coming off of maternity leave so things are hectic. I used AI to list out what’s important to me in the morning, how much time I have, the hiccups that occur and asked how I could fix it. It came up with this whole list of how I could tweak things to prioritize what’s most important to me right now. Highly recommend doing this for anything in your life that you think could be streamlined.

To try this Fall:

Affogatos. When we go out for dinner I always order an affogato after. To be honest, I order these all year ‘round and always when we’re in Italy. It’s a shot of espresso with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or gelato. It’s like a pick me up and a dessert. If you’ve never had one, Fall is the perfect time to try it.

Wellness lately:

I’ve been having 2 breakfasts to up my protein postpartum. First I’ll have a shake with Beauty Salt, hydrogen, Elderberry, Vitamin C, Lineage collagen and Paleo Valley protein powder. Then later on I’ll have 3-4 eggs.
